Summer Reading Discussion 2

This will be similar to the previous discussion - three thoughtful posts from each student on either of the following summer reading questions:
1. Which book do you think does a "better" job of explaining what went on? Why do you think this?
2. Which book does a better job of helping you to understand something about the present by its presentation of the past? Explain.
Understand that you don't need three posts for each question. This discussion combines both questions, and you may comment on either or both of them (but you only need a total of three).
